- Explain the hazards and effects of electricity
- Key terms and concepts of electrical safety
- Interpret applicable regulations
- Perform hazardous energy control for industrial facilities as required by OSHA
- Select appropriate personal protective equipment for a variety of applications
- Apply the general requirements of electrical regulations and standards to establish an electrically safe work environment
- Protecting employees who work on or near to electrical conductors and equipment.

After completing this course, participants will:
- Be familiar with the basic concepts of electricity
- Understand electrical hazards and electrical safety regulations
- Be able to use of safe work procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Familiarize with updates to OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC and PPE improvements
